Rex has entertained us in song, playing his guitar on his tv shows,at public appearances, private parties and reunion events for years .In fact he was inducted into the Massachusetts Country Music Hall of Fame in year 2000! I find this all pretty amazing, because Rex told me,"The one thing I never claimed was that I was a musician". He's a pretty humble guy and that's a big part of his appeal. This CD opens up with an introduction from Rex and then leads right into the 'Boomtown Theme Song'. Remember 'Hoof Beats' the great song from the 'Bunkhouse' segment that Rex sang on the 'Ride to Boomtown'? Well you'll find it here as well! Also on this disc you will find songs that come from personal experiences of Rex and some friends. He also has some old cowboy classics like 'Home on the Range' and 'Tumbling Tumbleweeds',(my favorite). This last song is a tribute to The Sons of The Pioneers'. If you're a fan of the old black and white early singing cowboy flicks, you'll remember them. I remember them from the Roy Rogers movies. He even has a couple of songs about dogs! He loves all animals,(remember 'Critter Corner' on Boomtown?) but, Rex is a dog lover, having owned many in his lifetime. He sings of that special loyalty that a dog has that humans just can't meet up to. One last note: You can sample short music clips from this CD in the DVD.
